sense to subhost with Fijihosting - otherwise
you can't take advantage of your domain name. If
have already your own registered domain name,

creation in our package deal.

Yes. Just let
us know your desired names and indicate if
you want to register in Fiji (your website will
end with the suffix .fj) or USA (no suffix). If
you want to register the website in Fiji, you
can check the
availability of names from USP's website.

We currently use Microsoft
FrontPage 2000 or FrontPage 2002 only. Not
because we love it so much, but because it is a
package relatively easy to use and does the job
well for smaller websites. At a later stage you
may want to make additions and modifications to
your website yourself.

you have fully paid us, it is your property.

With our web package deal all
updates have to be done through us, at very
reasonable rates. However, you can upgrade the
hosting plan and change from subhosting with us
to fully hosting your website with us. All you
have to do is to purchase Microsoft FrontPage
and import your website onto your PC. Once it is
on your hard disk, you can make all necessary
changes and upload it again.

companies operating in Fiji should be able to
sell you this software. Alternatively, you can
source the package from any mail-order company
overseas. Harris Technologies in Australia
or Advantage
in New Zealand are good stores just to check the prices.

No. The sites developed
through our web package deal are only done with
FrontPage. If you need a website developed in
another package than FrontPage, you have to use
our 'normal' web design service.
We
agree, however, that both are excellent web
design tools. Should you need your site in any
other format, let us know your exact specifications.

In all larger cities and towns
in Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, there are so-called
'Internet Cafés' which provide this service to
both people on-the-move as well as people
without own Internet connection. They will
usually charge you by the minute.
On the other
side, with home-user and small-business computer
packages being offered for starting prices of
approx. F$1'200, it may be opportune to invest
in a system for your company or organization.

First of all, we give you an
normal POP3 e-mail account, e.g. yourname@fijihosting.com.
You then could also have an alias account like
yourname_info@fijihosting.com. Or you can use it
for your private or confidential e-mail. All
mail to the alias account will be automatically
redirected to yourname@fijihosting.com.

Even preparing a small website
takes us several days to prepare. In most cases
it does not matter if only 3 or 30 pages; the
effort for layout, design and navigation
structure is virtually the same.
Once we have
published the preliminary version on
Fijihosting's website for you to test, it is
relatively easy to "pirate" the newly
developed website and tell us 'sorry, but we
don't have sufficient funds, so we have to
cancel the package deal' or a similar excuse -
and take the pirated, unpaid version and host or
subhost it somewhere else (yes, we are once
burnt and twice bitten).
The prepayment gives us
the security that you will be entering in a
mutually beneficial relationship with us.

Yes, but currently only during
working hours. This, however, should not cause a
problem because websites developed by
Fijihosting under the web package deal are
predominantly static websites where 24-hour
support is not required.
