The Great Council of Chiefs posted its meeting to Tuesday next week. Media reports state that the meeting today was heated on the issue of 1997 Constitution and the Fiji Court of Appeal decision. The decision to postpone the meeting has been received with mixed reactions. Some believe that it shows that the Chiefs are now carefully considering the matters of national importance. Others believe that the postponement reflects the chiefs inability to rally behind the rule of law in the country. |
