Adi Kuini has called upon the Fijian people to vote for honest leaders. She told Fiji Sun that though Fiji has been led by ethnic Fijian Leaders for the last 30 years, Fijian people have not benefited and are still in the state of underdevelopment. She further stated that good government has to be served by honest leaders and called upon Fijian people to make a careful choice in the coming election. According to the Fiji Times, she also questioned the sincerity of the Caretaker Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase. She claimed that his party's manifesto has been funded by Indian businessmen.
