Terrorist freed to file election nomination

A terrorist charged for treason and other offences have been released by the Suva Magistrates Court to file their nominations for the national election.

Chief Magistrate Salesi Temo allowed Timoci Silatolu to personally file his nomination. Other terrorists will have their request for freedom considered by the High Court today.

Numerous terrorists, many of who have been charged for treason and related offences, have stated that they will be contesting the national elections. Many others have already been endorsed by political parties to contest the forthcoming polls.
